Our commitment to making Wendworth usable by everyone.
Effective
Highfivery LLC is committed to making Wendworth accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is part of how we design and build the product, not an afterthought.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the product, and we push to the stricter Level AAA where the design allows.
What we do
Accessibility is checked continuously as we build. Concretely:
- We use semantic HTML and correct landmarks first, adding ARIA only to fill genuine gaps.
- Everything is operable by keyboard, with a logical focus order and visible focus states, and no keyboard traps.
- Text and interface colors are chosen and tested to meet AA contrast, and we do not rely on color alone to convey meaning.
- We honor your system's reduced-motion preference, and no essential information is conveyed by motion.
- Form fields are labeled, and errors are announced and tied to the field they describe.
- Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technologies.
- Automated accessibility checks (axe) run against our pages on every change, alongside manual keyboard and screen-reader review of new flows.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. Wendworth is early and evolving, and some areas may not yet fully meet our target. We treat accessibility issues as defects to fix, not as optional polish.
